Four score and 30ish years ago… Heather entered the world with a bang…

Ok, so it wasn’t really with a bang… but it was on Super Bowl Sunday (before they lengthened the season)…. and the Vikings crushed the Raiders… or was it the other way around?

Anywho…I share my birthday with Richard Nixon and Mark Martin…and I’m a Redskins fan…. (please don’t hold that against me… )

And I started out a great daughter… I was born on my due date and at 7:22 in the morning so that my dad had plenty of time to get home to watch the Big Game…Currently my brother and I pass the “golden child” award back and forth among us…

Enough about that…

I’m an Army brat… I’ve lived all over… and I’ve moved to and from the Roanoke, VA area four times before I decided to call this home… permanently. I made a commitment and bought a house…

I’m a single mom (and if you happen to run into my soul mate, can you kindly direct him to me I would be ever so appreciative….thanks!) of two… Matthew and Samara and there’s never a dull moment in our house!

I work from home both for the corporate world and have my own business… and love doing both…

In my “free time”… yeah, I know… what’s that?… I love to blog (duh), read, watch a little TV, and play with the kiddos… because I’m a big kid….

I’m involved heavily with the best church. Ever. working with the teens, as well as am the assistant cheerleading coach for my daughter, and yes, I’ve even made guest appearances for the PTA.

My life is one filled with ups and downs, just like yours, but I know that I can do everything through which Christ gives me strength…

I strive to be a Godly woman, a great mother, friend, co-worker, sister,daughter, parishioner, coach, etc… some days I’m right on target and others not so much… but I do know how to take a positive attitude… most of the time…

Join me on my quest for sanity… it’s bound to be a fun ride…
